In the Maryina Roshcha district on Skladochnaya Street (building 6, structure 5), a school was built. Sergey Sobyanin met with its teachers, parents, and students.

“We are improving your district a lot, doing much for transport, social infrastructure. We have introduced a stationBig Ring Linemetro, MCD station. On Trifonovskaya Street, a historic tram line to the Belorussky railway station has been restored. There is now a railway crossing under construction, and we are working on the bridge. Plus, two polyclinics have been renovated, they are now like new: both the children’s and the adult’s. We are also renovating another school. We are doing a lot to make it comfortable for you to live here,” Sergey Sobyanin noted.

Construction of the new school building was completed in May of this year. The work was financed by the investor within the framework of the residential complex (RC) “Sheremetyevsky” construction project — a modern urban quarter in the Maryino district. The total development area will be about 380 thousand square meters. Besides housing, the investor is building necessary social infrastructure, underground parking lots, and a creative business cluster (technopark).

The new educational building on Skladocnaya Street will be transferred free of charge to the capital’s education system by the investor. It will become part of the school “Maryina Roshcha” named after V.F. Orlov.

In a four-story building with an area of about 18,000 square meters, constructed according to an individual project, a comfortable and safe educational space has been created, including a barrier-free environment for children with limited health capabilities.

“Equipped with universal and specialized offices, laboratory-research complexes, an IT training ground, a media library, sports facilities, and a multifunctional hall. On the adjacent territory — a sports core, including courts for basketball and volleyball. In addition, zones were created for holding events and quiet recreation,” wrote the Mayor of Moscow on his channel.

The primary school classrooms are located in a separate building, so the younger students will not cross paths with the middle and high school students.

The construction readiness of the facility is 100 percent. Currently, commissioning works and preparation of the building for opening are underway. The first students should be accepted to the new building of the “Maryina Roshcha” school named after V.F. Orlov on September 1. The student body of grades one through nine will be formed primarily from among the new residents — inhabitants of the residential complex “Sheremetyevsky” and the adjacent quarters.

The school plan includes the implementation of city projects of pre-professional education “Mathematical Vertical,” “Natural Science Vertical,” “IT Vertical,” and “Cadet Class in a Moscow School.” It provides for the expansion of project, research, and creative activities using high-tech equipment, including in areas such as production and technology, computer graphics, 3D modeling, robotics, and prototyping.Additional education will be developed, with priority given to areas that will remain united in the natural-scientific and technological profiles.

Construction of kindergartens in the SVAO

In addition to the school in Maryino Grove, the investor is completing the construction of three kindergartens in the Otradnoye district (Signalny Proezd, building 16, structure 3), Ostankinsky (Sel’skoye Khozyaystvo Street, building 39a), and Altufyevsky (Altufyevskoye Highway, land plot No. 53/7). New preschool institutions will appear as part of the construction projects for the residential complexes “Signalny 16,” “Green Park,” and “Altufyevskoye 53.”

Upon completion of construction, the new kindergartens will be transferred by the investor free of charge to the city education system.

In a new kindergarten with a total area of over 14 thousand square meters, a comfortable and safe educational environment will be created for 650 preschoolers. The arrangement for the little ones will include group cells with flexible zoning of space, rooms for developmental activities, a gym and music halls, pools (in two of the three kindergartens). A food unit of a full technological cycle and a medical office are also planned.

A barrier-free environment will allow children with disabilities to attend new kindergartens.

On the adjacent territory, sports zones and playgrounds with small architectural forms and shaded canopies for walks will be arranged.

New schools and kindergartens

Since 2011, 724 educational facilities have been built in Moscow, including 496 kindergartens and 228 schools, including those with preschool groups. Out of these, 347 facilities were funded from the city budget, and 377 facilities from extrabudgetary funds.

In the plan for 2026, about 60 more educational facilities will be opened.

“My District”: Maryina Roshcha

Maryina Roshcha is a cozy district in the northeast of the capital, home to 62 thousand Muscovites. Among its attractions are the Satirikon theater, the museum center “Moscow House of Dostoevsky”, a park on Polkovaya Street, and the Icon of the Mother of God “Unexpected Joy”.

In recent years, Maryino District has been actively modernizing its transportation infrastructure, implementing major projects in the field of urban environment improvement, enhancing the quality of education, healthcare, and other social sectors. A significant portion of these activities is carried out within the framework of the “My District” program, developed on the initiative of the Mayor of Moscow.

In 2023, the metro stations “Rizhskaya” and “Maryina Roshcha” of the Bolshaya Koltsevaya Line (BKL) were opened here. The latter became one of the deepest stations of the capital’s metro with the longest escalators, 130 meters long. The territory adjacent to it has been landscaped.

The district has received an above-ground metro — passengers are served by the new Moscow city terminal Maryina Roshcha of the second and fourth lines.Moscow central diameters(MCD-2 and MCD-4) and the Rizhskaya station, where second diameter trains stop. Comfortable routes for pedestrians and drivers from residential areas to the stations have been created in the area of the adjacent landscaping.

The “Maryina Roshcha” metro station has become one of the largest transport hubs in Moscow, uniting the BKL and Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya metro lines, MCD-2 and MCD-4, as well as surface urban transport routes. Thanks to it, local residents can build alternative routes for trips around the city, saving up to 45 percent on trips to neighboring districts.

Moreover, the lobby of the Maryina Roshcha Moscow city railway station is used as a convenient and safe pedestrian connection between two parts of the district. Previously, to cross the railway and get to the metro, residents of the neighborhoods on Sheremetyevskaya Street, Vetkin Street, and others had to use the noisy and uncomfortable Sheremetyevsky overpass. Now, at their disposal is a covered above-ground passage equipped with escalators and elevators.

In July 2024, Sergey Sobyanin laid the foundation for the construction of the Dostoevskaya station of the Circle Line of the metro, with a transfer to the homonymous station of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya branch. The service area of the future station will cover the districts of Maryina Roshcha, Tverskoy, Meshchansky, with a total population of about 200 thousand people, of which 40 thousand live in the immediate vicinity of Dostoevskaya.

As part of the development of road transport infrastructure, a tunnel was opened under the tracks of MZD-4, which connected Dvintsev Street and Skladochnaya Street, thereby providing additional transport connectivity between the Butyrsky and Maryina Roshcha districts.

A railway overpass was also built on MZD-2 in the area of the intersection of Skladochnaya Street and Dobrolyubov Street. Work is currently underway here to create roads connecting these streets. As a result, a new transport link will appear between the Third Transport Ring and Ogorodny Proezd with an exit to Altufyevskoye Highway. Due to the redistribution of traffic, the load on Suschevsky Val Street, Butyrsky Val Street, Sheremetyevskaya Street, and others will decrease.

For the convenience of residents, 12 new routes of ground urban transport were also organized, and about 50 modern bus stop shelters were installed.

In 2025, a tram line was restored here on Trifonovskaya Street, and route No. 5 was introduced from Belorussky railway station to the “Rizhskaya” metro station. On this and other tram routes running through the district, modern three-section “Vityaz-Moskva” trams operate. For the convenience of passengers, raised boarding platforms were equipped along the tram line, and a new comfortable public space was created at Rizhskaya square with modern lighting, comfortable benches, and green plantings. The dominant feature of the square became the “Rizhsky Cat” stele.

As part of the development of infrastructure for electric vehicles, two electric charging stations of the “Energy of Moscow” project have been opened — drivers can build a convenient route to them using the “Moscow Transport” application. For bicycle enthusiasts, three bike parking lots have been created.

In addition, they improved the territories of the Struggle Square, the park on Polkovaya Street, and the areas adjacent to the Maryina Roshcha station of the BKL and the Rizhskaya MCD station. Staromaryinskoye Highway, Obraztsov Street, Dostoevsky Street, 3rd and 4th streets of Maryina Roshcha, Polkovaya, Skladocnaya, Novotikhvinskaya, Oktyabrskaya, and 2nd Yamskaya streets, 1st Vysheslavtsev Lane, and 6th, 8th to 13th, and 17th passages of Maryina Roshcha were transformed. Approximately 50 courtyards were also brought into order, and seven playgrounds were reconstructed.

For the young residents of the district, several educational facilities have been built—a school on Skladotchnaya Street (House 6, Building 5) and two kindergartens—on Sheremetyevskaya Street (House 37, Building 3) and Tivinskaya Street (House 14, Building 2). Under the “My School” program, a comprehensive renovation of the building and territory of the “Maryina Roshcha” school named after V.F. Orlov on Oktyabrskaya Street (House 81) is underway. As part of the “Art for Children” project, in 2024, a capital repair of the children’s music school named after N.P. Rakov (Novosushchevsky Lane, House 4) was carried out.

After comprehensive reconstruction, the branch No. 1 of City Polyclinic No. 12 (9th Maryina Roshcha passage, building 8º, structure 1) and branch No. 3 of Children’s Polyclinic No. 99 (9th Maryina Roshcha passage, building 6, structure 1) reopened to patients. In addition, a major overhaul was carried out on the buildings of the Moscow Multiprofile Palliative Care Center on Dvintsev Street.

In 2019, in Maryino Grove (Suschevsky Val Street, house 31, building 2), the first one in the capital openedMoscow Center for Longevity. Currently, about 70 interest clubs operate within it, created by the city’s own senior residents. In them, they communicate, share experiences, hold classes and master classes.

There are more opportunities for sports activities in the area. A multifunctional sports and wellness complex has opened for fans of hockey, figure skating, and water sports “Ice Academy” (1st Streletsky passage, house 14).

The building of the fire-rescue unit on Polkova Street (house 12) has been reconstructed. And on Oktyabrskaya Street (property 42), a year-round fair operates, designed in an eco-style.

Renovation program

In Maryino Grove, 24 houses are included in the renovation program. More than 3.9 thousand Muscovites will move into the new modern apartments. Five residential complexes have already been built and handed over for occupancy at the following addresses: Annenskaya Street, building 6, 1st Streletsky Passage, building 18, 2nd Maryino Grove Street, building 3, Sheremetyevskaya Street, building 13, block 1, and building 5, block 1.

Resettlement of residents from 11 houses — a total of more than 1,400 people — has been completed in the area.

Currently, construction is underway on two more residential complexes on Annenskaya and Sheremetyevskaya streets.
