Already on the coming Saturday, June 6, at 11:00, the “Lepota Day” will begin in the Polytechnic Park — the largest summer festival for university staff and students, as well as families, friends, and, of course, beloved pets.
The holiday will be held for the third time already. “Lepota Day” has become a good political tradition and an event awaited by whole families. The festival continues the ideas of the “Lepota” project, which encompasses everything that lives in the university community: health and sports, culture and creativity, care for the environment, emotional well-being, and career.
“Lepota Day” is a holiday that we create together and for our own. Over just three years, it has transformed from an idea into a tradition that unites employees, students, and children and parents, alumni of different years, and even four-legged pets. When people come here with whole families, introduce their children to the university, meet colleagues in an informal setting — this very feeling of community is born, for which the “Lepota” ecosystem exists.It is exactly such warm meetings that turn PolitE from a workplace and a place of study into a big friendly family,” noted the head of the Public Relations Department of SPbPU, Marianna Dyakova.
The program this year turned out to be truly packed. At the “Extreme Show” area, you can take a ride around the campus on a retro car or motorcycle with a gentle breeze. Active recreation enthusiasts will enjoy master classes in Nordic walking and a boost of energy from the sports grounds. At the “Royal in the Bush” area, you can sit at a piano and play your favorite melody, impressing everyone around with your musicality. At the “Musical Glade,” popular songs from different years will be performed live by the “Ne Spat” quartet and soloists from the vocal studio “Polivoks” — singing along is strictly recommended.
At the “Chem-Show,” guests can expect colorful reactions and spectacular experiments, while at the “Robot Battle” you can witness a real championship of robotic sports fights. Those who wish not only to watch but also to build are awaited by another kind tradition of the festival — the opportunity to assemble your own Tower and test yourself in engineering skills.
In the face painting area “Paint Your Face,” anyone can transform into whoever they want, and at the captivating knight tournament — immerse yourself in the medieval atmosphere and watch real fights. History lovers will find a museum quest awaiting them, and those who appreciate eco-friendly habits — a master class on creating their own eco-merch with their own hands. The fluffy guests of the celebration will not be left without attention either: a separate interactive show has been prepared for them, where the nursery animals will become real stars.
