Minsk, June 3 /Xin Hua/ — A meeting was held in Minsk on Tuesday between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Maksim Ryzhankov, and the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources of the Sultanate of Oman, Saud bin Hamoud bin Ahmed al-Habsi. Corresponding information was published by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus on the same day.

The meeting took place within the framework of the visit of the Omani delegation to Belarus to participate in the International Specialized Exhibition “Belagro-2026” at the invitation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus.

The parties discussed the implementation of agreements reached in the course of negotiations at the highest and upper levels, as well as the protocol of the first meeting of the Belarus-Oman Intergovernmental Committee on Cooperation and Investments, which took place from April 1 to 2, 2026, in Muscat.

The interlocutors noted with satisfaction the success in implementing joint projects for the supply of baby food, milk powder, and confirmed the importance of utilizing Oman’s capabilities to promote Belarusian products to other countries of the region, as well as to East Africa and India.

Taking into account the fact that the agricultural sector is one of the fundamental pillars of the Belarusian economy and plays a significant role in the national economy of Oman, interlocutors emphasized the necessity of continuing joint work in this area with the aim of utilizing existing potential.
