In the gallery “Na Shabolovke,” there will be a walking tour “Shabolovka — Tulskaya. From Avant-garde to Modernism.”
The route includes objects of the avant-garde epoch: Khavsko-Shabolovsky residential area, the first commune house on Lesteva Street, the Shukhov Tower, the ship-house on Mytnaya, the residential area of the Goznak factory, the Danilovsky department store.
Then the participants will see the architecture of another era: Danilovsky Market, Moscow Mint, the house of the atomic workers on Bolshaya Tulskaya.
The route shows the continuity of architectural history and how the city preserves the memory of the change of ideas and forms.
The tour will be conducted by the researcher of architecture, a certified guide Tatyana Melekhina (she graduated from the guide school “Through the Eyes of an Engineer”).
