Tehran, June 1 /Xin Hua/ — Tehran will not agree to any deal with the USA until the rights of the Iranian people are guaranteed. This was stated by the speaker of the Iranian parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on Sunday.

Speaking at a virtual parliamentary session, M. B. Ghalibaf emphasized that Iranian negotiators do not trust the words and promises of the “enemy,” reported the official IRNA news agency.

“For us, the criterion is achieving tangible results, and in return, we will fulfill our obligations,” he said. “We will not approve any agreement until the rights of the Iranian people are guaranteed.”

The speaker noted Iran’s “success” on the battlefield, emphasizing that the task of diplomacy is to transform “these victories into political and legal achievements.”

He warned that at the new stage of the war, the “enemies” are trying to create internal disagreements through economic pressure and propaganda via the media, in order to force Iran to surrender, and expressed confidence that the Iranian people will offer them resistance.

Being Iran’s chief negotiator in the peace talks with the USA, M. B. Ghalibaf declared on social network X on Friday that Tehran is achieving concessions not through negotiations, but with the help of missiles.
