Yury Trutnev met in Vladivostok with young activists

During a working trip to Primorsky Krai, the Deputy Chairman of the Government – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Far Eastern Federal District, Yury Trutnev, met with youth in Vladivostok. Participants of the meeting included the Minister for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, Alexey Chekunkov, and the Governor of Primorsky Krai, Oleg Kozhemyako.

80 people participated in the event – veterans of the Special Military Operation, volunteers, members of the Young Guard. In addition, 26 public support headquarters from municipalities of the territory joined the meeting. The network of headquarters is a project of the Primorsky branch of the party “United Russia.” These are public spaces where useful and interesting activities are conducted for residents. One of the forms of work of the headquarters is broadcasting lectures from the National Center. It is precisely thanks to the developed communication system that it became possible to remotely involve active youth from remote areas of Primorye in the meeting.

Communication with young activists took place after the May 25 meeting of the party forum “United Russia” «There is a result!» on the DVFU campus. Young people presented their public projects to Yuri Trutnev aimed at developing patriotic education and improving the quality of life of people, and also made proposals for the people’s program – a strategic document of the “United Russia” party, formed based on the suggestions of citizens from across the country.

“Dear Young Guards! You bear the glorious name of the members of the “Young Guard,” who fought for our Motherland during the Great Patriotic War. This is a high honor. I know that today you, young activists, also help to defend our Motherland. A few days ago at the plenary session of the forum “There Is a Result!”, organized by the party “United Russia,” I spoke in detail about what is being done for the development of the Far East. Today we would like to listen to you so that you can tell us what you are engaged in, what you have achieved, and how we can help. We asked you not to prepare special speeches or questions.””I want us to communicate informally,” Yuri Trutnev opened the meeting.

“The Young Guard of United Russia” is the largest youth association in Primorsky Krai and one of the strongest youth organizations in the Far East. With more than 2,300 activists, 28 local branches across the region, and a strong presence in the student environment, today it is one of the key platforms where the new generation of Primorye leaders is formed.

One of the central themes became patriotic education. From the first days of the special military operation, the Young Guards joined humanitarian work. More than 80 activists from Primorye worked in the new regions and Kursk region – they helped civilians, servicemen, hospitals, participated in the restoration of territories. This work does not stop: every two weeks new volunteer shifts are formed.

“Patriotic education of youth is the most important direction. We used to have initial military training. We were taught to hold weapons, instructed in the basics of tactics and other military disciplines. Now we have created the ‘Warrior’ center, which is present in 21 regions of the country, including five in the Far Eastern regions. We have agreed to open it in Primorye in the near future. For work in the center, we attract people who have undergone special military operations. Friends from the 155th brigade asked me to help one of the combat veterans. I won’t even list how many times he was wounded in battle.”We met him here, in Primorye. He asked for help with work. It is a worthy position – to be useful to the country. He is now engaged in educating youth at DVFU. This guy is among the people we should be proud of. I attended the meeting he held with students. When he began to speak, the students respectfully fell silent. Efforts must be united with those who have already gone through the school of combat operations and those who are just preparing for it. Everyone must be ready to defend our Motherland. This is a common task, including for the “Young Guard.”Meetings of young people with our heroes who defended and defend our Motherland are working wonderfully. The story about the path that the guys have gone through in their lives inspires others. Today Russia has both friendly and unfriendly relations. They are fighting against us. Not only during combat operations. But also in the mass media, through ideology. Professionals deal with this seriously. Now is a difficult period for the country. To get through it, we have only one option – to unite and move forward together by common efforts. Russia has always overcome difficulties,” noted Yuri Trutnev.

Since February 2026, the head of the regional branch and activists of the “Young Guard” have been serving as part of the volunteer battalion BARS-22 “Tiger” – a coastal assault unit.

A large operation is simultaneously underway in the territory of Primorsky Krai. Six trucks of humanitarian aid, food, and equipment have been collected and sent. More than 3,000 families of participants in the special military operation have received targeted support from the Young Guards members.

“We must win. We have no choice. Everyone must ask themselves a simple question: what have they done for Victory. We are also here in one line and must move forward and think about this every day,” emphasized Yuri Trutnev.

One of the questions was related to the work of young specialists in government authorities. “The quality of the person is important. It is important how the young specialist was trained. It is important how he thinks. We need allies. People who can think, who care about how our country develops, are ready to help us in the development of territories,” noted Yuriy Trutnev.

“Young Guard” is also a human resources school. The guys participate in the preliminary voting of “United Russia,” become candidates, join municipal councils, work as assistants to deputies, and implement their own public initiatives. A good example is the human resources school “PolitZavod,” which was launched in Primorye. The guys underwent training in political and managerial directions, learned to work with people, take responsibility for decisions, and form teams. Also, coastal Young Guards participate in youth exchanges and humanitarian projects with countries of the Asia-Pacific region, establishing connections with youth organizations of China, North Korea, Mongolia, Vietnam, and the Republic of Belarus.

Participants and veterans of the special military operation can take part in the “Time of Heroes” program. The program is implemented under the instructions of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and is aimed at training highly qualified leaders for work in state and municipal authorities, as well as in large state companies. One of its curators is Yuri Trutnev and Alexey Chekunkov.

The Head of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, Aleksey Chekunkov, reminded about the “Muravyov-Amursky 2030” program, aimed at preparing highly qualified specialists for effective work in the field of public administration and socio-economic development of the Far Eastern Federal District and the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. A few days ago, the fifth stream of the program started. The competition for participation in the program attracted 160 candidates per place from all regions of the country.

“The first thing we tell the guys who come to the program: you didn’t come to make a career, but to help solve people’s problems. We are setting them up for long-term creative work in a difficult area, where they will serve Russia, serve the Far East and the Arctic,” the minister explained.

Yury Trutnev drew attention to the necessity of youth participation in the project for the development of technologies. “Technological development is becoming a matter of the country’s security and its sovereignty. Those who are ahead in technological development begin to impose their will on other countries. Here we need the support of the youth, here it is possible and necessary to become useful for the country,” said the vice prime minister.

Issues of constructing affordable rental housing, construction projects, and support for mass sports were also discussed. Governor Oleg Kozhemyako spoke about the plan for the development of sports infrastructure in Primorye and the support for athletes.

“We see the necessity of creating several large sports facilities that could host international competitions on their grounds. We have already allocated land plots and coordinated with the Russian Water Sports Federation. There will be three swimming pools, including a special pool for diving. On Russky Island, the construction of an athletics arena, a hockey development center, and a gymnastics development center is planned. We have already refined the preliminary designs. The implementation timelines are set for 2027–2030. We invite Olympic champions to serve as coaches in the basic sports disciplines.””We believe that they can significantly influence the training of high-level athletes,” commented the head of the region.

At the end of the meeting, Yuri Trutnev addressed the activists. In particular, he asked the participants of the meeting to talk about the opportunities available to young active people in the Far East: “Let’s tell the citizens of our country together about the Far East. This is a territory that is developing 30% faster than other parts of the country. It is easier and faster to find a job here. You surely have friends in other territories. Tell them about the Far East, involve them in working in the macroregion.”
