Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin paid a working visit to the Luhansk People’s Republic. There, he inspected the stadium of the V. Dahl Luhansk State University and held a meeting on issues of the social and economic development of the region.

“I went to see how the stadium at the V. Dal Lugansk State University operates. We launched it after reconstruction in October of last year, and since then it has become an attraction point for residents from early morning until late evening. On the sports and playground, track, and in the workout zone, there are always both adults and children, and during the academic period, students engage in physical education there.”The university — with a name known for having many students — therefore, at the request of the rector, Viktor Dronovich Ryabichev, we will look at and consider how to further develop its infrastructure to create an integrated educational environment,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.

According to the results of the meeting, Marat Khusnullin noted that the republic fully meets the main socio-economic indicators.

“Among a number of programs, LN is stably included among the advanced subjects of the country. By the way, among the four merged regions of LN, most participate in the national project and state program – it implements more than 20 federal projects, attracts funds from special treasury and treasury infrastructure loans, with the operator being the federal Territorial Development Fund. Overall, financing and contracting are proceeding at a good level,” added the Vice Premier.

He reported that during the working trip, a development program for 28 key settlements of the LPR, in which about 70% of the republic’s population lives, was also signed.

“I believe this is the main strategic document that will set the vector for the region for the next five years and with a perspective until 2036. In this document, developed jointly with the Ministry of Construction of Russia, everything that we plan to do is clearly described. Addressed point-by-point, article-by-article, with about 1765 planned activities. We discussed with the head of the LNR Leonid Ivanovich Pasechnik that as the budget is executed, we will try to allocate additional funds for repairing streets in key settlements. This will allow us to increase road traffic safety within the LPR,” said Marat Khusnullin.

In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister inspected a number of facilities and held a meeting on the security bloc line.
