Minsk, May 26 /Xin Hua/ — In Belarus, 116 attempts to cross the border by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were recorded over the past week. This was announced on Tuesday by the Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus, Alexander Volfovich.

As reported on the same day by the publication “Belarus Segodnya,” A. Volfovich made the corresponding statement at the meeting of the Committee of Security Council Secretaries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, which took place in Moscow.

He explained that at the border Ukrainian training grounds, issues of using shock UAVs, as well as storming and capturing buildings, are practiced.

“Against this background, our air defense means daily record the regular crossing of the Belarus border by Ukrainian combat UAVs and their fall on our territory. In some cases, these are not random attacks, but attempts to strike at elements of border infrastructure, disguised as supposedly accidental incursions. Just in the past week, there were 116. The troops on duty applied force 59 times,” A. Volfovich reported.

Speaking about the illegal crossing of the Belarusian border by Ukrainians fleeing forced mobilization, he noted that this is also a problem. “In the past month, 76 such violators have been detained. Some of them are spies with specific tasks,” A. Volfovich explained and added that Belarusian special services, in cooperation including with Russian partners, are specifically working on this issue and exchanging information. –0–
