Beijing, May 26 /Xinhua/ — At the summit of transnational corporation leaders, scheduled for next month, a report on market prospects and opportunities for transnational corporations in China will be presented.
At the 7th summit of leaders of transnational corporations, which will be held from June 15 to 17 in the city of Qingdao in Shandong province, eastern China, many bright moments are expected, it was reported at a press conference organized by the Press Office of the State Council of the PRC on Tuesday.
The summit, co-organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC and the government of Shandong Province, will include an opening ceremony, a forum on the high-quality development of transnational corporations, and a series of parallel sessions.
During the summit, a research report titled “Transnational Corporations in China” will be published, which will present China’s openness policy, market opportunities, and innovation prospects for the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030), announced the Deputy Minister of Commerce of the PRC, Yan Dun.
As of today, 435 corporate representatives have confirmed their participation, including 355 representatives of foreign transnational corporations from 36 countries and regions, and 80 representatives of Chinese companies, reported the Deputy Governor of Shandong Province, Wen Nuan.
He noted that 23 events will be organized in parallel sessions in four categories, which include encouraging investments, establishing trade contacts, industry exchanges, and regional cooperation aimed at maximizing the disclosure of cooperation potential.
Van Lei, head of the Commerce Department of Shandong Province, spoke about planned innovation activities, which will include targeted meetings for selecting partners in the industry and familiarization with China’s intellectual property protection policy for the 15th Five-Year Plan period. -0-
