The delegation of the State University of Management took part in Africa Youth Day — an event where the discussion about the future of Russian-African cooperation went beyond official reports. Here, it was expressed through music, poetry, national traditions, and live communication. The main theme of the meeting was the unity of peoples, sustainable development, and the role of youth in strengthening international dialogue.

The event brought together Russian and African students, diaspora leaders and compatriots, diplomats, African studies scholars, public and government figures. Together they discussed youth initiatives in the fields of ecology, water resources and education, development of direct contacts between youth organizations, joint projects of universities in Russia and Africa, as well as the contribution of the African diaspora to the cultural diversity of Russia.

In the expert part of the program, students from the leading universities of the capital presented reports on the development of Russian-African relations and the role of youth as a driver of change. The delegation of HSE (Higher School of Economics) worthily represented the university in this dialogue, where the discussion was not only about international cooperation but also about a specific idea for a sustainable future.

One of the warmest moments of the evening was the performance by a 4th-year student of GUE, Beshir Djime Abisso. He read an original poem about the continent of Africa, its beauty, history, and unity. His performance became a personal and sincere highlight of the program and received a lively response from the audience.

The program of Africa Youth Day was rich: welcoming words from representatives of the African Club, the Russian World Foundation, and the Nigerian community in Russia; a quiz about Russian-African relations; a concert of Russian and African groups; musical interactive sessions and networking. Participants saw traditional and modern African clothing, took part in African games, and got acquainted with national dishes of African countries at the cultural festival.

A separate place was taken by the photo exhibition “We are different — and this is our strength” and the exposition “Africa’s Water Resources: the path to 2063.” They emphasized the main idea of the meeting: cultural diversity, education, science, and youth diplomacy can become a solid foundation for long-term partnership between Russia and African countries.

The organizers of African Youth Day were the African Club and the Youth Council of the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia. The event took place with the support of the Russian-African Club of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, the International Public Fund “Russian Peace Fund”, the African Business Club, RUDN University, the Association “Union of African Bloggers”, ROSAF-YOUTH, and other organizations.

Participation in the African Youth Day showed: GUU supports open intercultural dialogue, student initiatives, and cooperation based on respect, interest, and lively exchange of ideas.
