JSC “VIS” (an enterprise of the OAT Group, part of the structure of PJSC “KAMAZ”) has launched a factory laboratory test complex for the development of a domestic component base for hydraulic brake systems.

A modern factory laboratory and testing complex has been established on the territory of the Togliatti industrial site as part of the implementation of an industry project for the creation of hydraulic brake system components. The complex was created based on a completely reconstructed warehouse (production) facility and equipped with advanced equipment, allowing a full cycle of testing and measurements to be conducted.

The laboratory and testing complex includes five specialized stands: a stand for measuring brake characteristics, a stand for cyclic testing of drum and disc brakes, a stand for testing the reliability of drum and disc brakes, a stand for testing the reliability of vacuum brake boosters (VBT) with the main brake cylinder (GTC), as well as a two-post stand (pneumatic and hydraulic) for measuring the characteristics of VBT with GTC.

This equipment provides a comprehensive assessment of the performance and durability of the key components of brake systems in accordance with industry requirements. The laboratory is equipped for conducting geometric measurements, physicochemical, chemical, and metallographic tests.

Creation of a laboratory-testing complex is a key stage in the implementation of JSC “VIS” strategy for developing its own competence in the field of hydraulic brake systems. The new complex will provide independent quality control at all stages of production, accelerate the processes of refining products and confirming their compliance with technical regulations.
