Taiyuan, May 23 /Xinhua/ — 82 people died and 9 remain trapped as a result of an accident at a coal mine in Qinyuan County, Shanxi Province, northern China.

A gas explosion occurred at the Lüyushen coal mine on Friday at 19:29. Search and rescue operations continue. -0-
