Beijing, May 22 /Xinhua/ — As part of a joint operation by law enforcement agencies of China and Laos to combat cross-border telecommunications fraud, the Laotian police recently repatriated 494 suspects to China. This was announced on Friday by the Ministry of Public Security of the PRC.

Since the beginning of this year, as Cambodia intensifies its fight against telecommunications and internet fraud, some fraud centers and individuals involved have moved to the territory of Laos, where they continue their criminal activities.
