At the State University of Management, a project was discussed that combines education, modern technologies, design, and the real needs of people. Its main goal is to create a clear training system that will help a person acquire in-demand skills, return to an active life, find work, and feel their own necessity.

Participants in the meeting were the Vice-Rector of GUE Maria Karelin and Galina Volkova — a designer, entrepreneur, Doctor of Economics, founder and general director of the company «Ort modaspecializing in the production of orthopedic footwear and clothing for people with disabilities.

Galina Volkova has been engaged in designing footwear and clothing for many years, including for people with disabilities. According to her, over time, her professional activity has become a mission for her.

“For me, it’s important to give people beauty, confidence in themselves, and perhaps the feeling of being harmonious. This applies to all people, but especially to people with disabilities,” noted Galina Volkova.

Special attention at the meeting was given to a new project that is supposed to combine educational programs, digital production, and practical training of specialists. The discussion is not only about technology but also about the human aspect behind it. The project involves developing training programs and plans, including for veterans, so that they can master working with modern digital equipment and acquire skills that are in demand in the labor market.

According to Galina Volkova, such work requires an interdisciplinary approach. The project requires the competencies of economists, financiers, engineers, marketers, designers, and other specialists. Only this way can a complete cycle be built — from the idea and design to production, promotion, and real assistance to people.

“It is important for a person to have the opportunity to rise, to engage in a new life, to find a purpose and to feel needed. For this, special programs, modern equipment, training, and a clear education system are necessary,” she emphasized she.

A separate topic of discussion has become the role of the university in creating such an educational environment. The HSE can become a platform where managerial, engineering, economic, and social competencies are combined in one project. This format is especially important for tasks related to inclusion, adaptation, and professional implementation of people who need not formal support, but a working path to a new life.

Galina Volkova noted that it is still too early to talk about the final result: the project is still in the development stage. However, its expected outcome is already clear — a person who has obtained a profession, found their place, is satisfied with life, and feels inner harmony.

After the working meeting, the guests were given a small tour of the Innovation Center of GUU. They were shown the capabilities of the center and were given a more detailed explanation of the activities of the Student Design Bureau “Intonation Solutions” and media center. Participants discussed how university resources can be useful for the development of the project and further interaction.

The meeting became a step towards creating an educational initiative in which technologies work not for the sake of technologies, but for the sake of the person — their independence, confidence, and future.
