The startup of graduate student Mila Zorin from the State University of Management, HolterTECH, became the best project of the second batch of the SportTech accelerator Sk. The project took first place according to expert evaluation results and immediately received several special awards from the accelerator’s partners.

HolterTECH is developing a wearable ECG sensor for athletes. The device monitors the person’s condition during training and helps to understand in time when to reduce the load or take a pause. Such a “smart stop-signal” helps to train more safely and prevents the body from overtraining.

The second stream of the accelerator received 250 applications. For participation, 134 companies were selected, which refined their products together with experts from the sports industry over two months. Fifteen best projects reached the final. They presented their developments to funds and investors, and HolterTECH was among them.

The finalists were judged by a jury led by an Olympic champion, former Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chairman of the Board of PJSC Gazprom Neft Pavel Kolobkov. As a result of the demo day, the project of the GUE student scored the highest number of points from the experts.

In addition to the victory, HolterTECH received a partnership support package: a grant of 500,000 rubles from the Moscow Venture Fund, 150,000 rubles for project development from T-Business, a certificate for media support from the VSporte group, as well as the opportunity to present the development for free at the largest sports exhibition “Russia.Fitness” in November 2026.

For Mikhail Zorin, this is not the first significant result in the development of projects. Previously, he became the winner of the Foundation for Assistance to Innovations competition “Student Startup”, entered the top 50 of the all-Russian competition “Startup as a diploma” and opened the company LLC “TEXTART-PROEKT”. His project HolterTECH had already previously received grant support.

Today, the HolterTECH team, in addition to students from GUU, were joined by representatives of Sechenov University and the N.I. Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University. The team has already created a working prototype of the wearable device and has begun clinical validation. The next stages of the project’s development are obtaining registration certification for the Russian market, and then for the international level.

HolterTECH’s victory in the Skolkovo accelerator shows how a student idea can grow into a technological product for sports and medicine. For HSE, this result became yet another confirmation that the university environment helps students not only come up with strong projects but also bring them to market.
