At the beginning of summer, the section of the Huanghe River near the village of Laonüwan in Qinshui County of Hohhot City (an autonomous region in Inner Mongolia) appears in all its glory: picturesque gorges along both banks create a magnificent landscape. In recent years, measures to protect the environment and restore the Huanghe River basin have been consistently strengthened in the autonomous region of Inner Mongolia. Thanks to this, the water quality in the Laonüwan area has steadily improved, and the coastal ecosystem is gradually being restored.
