London, May 20 /Xin Hua/ — The government of the United Kingdom has issued a general trading license permitting the import of diesel fuel and aviation kerosene produced from Russian crude oil into third countries. This is stated in a government notification published on Tuesday.
The license issued by the British Ministry of Business and Trade applies to certain types of diesel fuel and aviation kerosene produced outside Russia from Russian crude oil. It also permits the provision of certain services and the performance of certain actions related to the import of these products.
After the escalation of the Ukrainian crisis, the United Kingdom imposed a series of sanctions against Russia, including restrictions on the import of Russian oil and petroleum products. –0–
