Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova held a meeting of the project committee on the national project “New Technologies for Health Preservation.” On the agenda was the implementation of the national project in 2026. Representatives of the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Finance, FMBA, Roszdravnadzor, and other agencies participated in the meeting.

Tatyana Golikova noted that the national project is aimed at achieving the national goal of ensuring technological leadership in the field of medicine, production of medicinal products and medical devices. It includes 5 federal projects, one of which is focused on the management of medical science, three are aimed at ensuring technological leadership, and one at technological sovereignty.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that all indicators and results of the national project “New Health Saving Technologies” will be achieved in the first quarter of 2026.

Based on the results of the first three months of this year:

— the number of clinical bases increased from 8 to 13, which will conduct research and confirm the effectiveness of new Russian medical technologies, pharmaceutical drugs, and medical devices;

— a new test system has been introduced, which detects more than 2 thousand hereditary diseases in newborns. Thanks to its application, it has already been possible to identify several hundred children with hereditary diseases and start treatment in a timely manner;

— production of a Russian innovative portable colposcope for the study of women’s reproductive organs, registered last year, has begun. As a result of the first quarter, its improved version with integrated artificial intelligence was registered, assisting the doctor in diagnosing reproductive system diseases and correctly determining the tactics for managing patients;

— development of 9 new Russian medicinal drugs is underway, of which 3 are classified as “first in class”, meaning they have no analogues in the world, which is an indicator of a high vector of technological leadership;

— expands the application of modern Russian regenerative biomedicine technology for the treatment of knee joint arthrosis without surgery, clinical studies are being completed and the introduction of analogous technologies for the treatment of hip joint arthrosis, osteonecrosis of the femoral head, fractures, and Crohn’s disease has begun;

— innovative biomedical and cognitive technologies are being developed, technologies of preventive medicine and healthy longevity, aimed at increasing the duration of active and healthy life of our citizens.

In the first quarter, 32 names of medicinal products from the list of vital and essential medicines, previously not produced in the territory of our country, were registered. In addition, domestically reproduced drugs for the treatment of spinal muscular atrophy, priced 30% lower than the cost of original drugs, were registered in Russia.

An expanded Russian product line of in-demand medical devices up to 1214 units, of which 52 are software using artificial intelligence, including tests for the diagnosis of oncological diseases and infections, diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, rehabilitation products.
