Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova held a meeting of the project committee on the national project “New Technologies for Health Preservation.” On the agenda was the implementation of the national project in 2026. Representatives of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Finance, the Federal Medical-Biological Agency, Roszdravnadzor, and other agencies took part in the meeting.
Tatyana Golikova noted that the national project is aimed at achieving the national goal of ensuring technological leadership in the fields of medicine, pharmaceutical production, and medical products. It includes 5 federal projects, one of which is focused on the management of medical science, three are aimed at ensuring technological leadership, and one – technological sovereignty.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that by the first quarter of 2026, all indicators and results of the national project “New Technologies for Health Preservation” will be achieved.
According to the results of the first three months of this year:
— the number of clinical bases has been increased from 8 to 13, which will conduct research and confirm the effectiveness of new Russian medical technologies, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices;
— A new test system has been introduced, which detects more than 2 thousand hereditary diseases in newborns. Thanks to its application, it has already been possible to identify several hundred children with hereditary diseases and start treatment in a timely manner;
— production has begun of a Russian innovative portable colposcope for studying the organs of the female reproductive system, registered last year. As a result of the first quarter, its improved version was registered with integrated artificial intelligence, helping doctors diagnose diseases of the reproductive system and correctly determine patient management tactics;
— development of 9 new Russian pharmaceutical drugs is being carried out, of which 3 are classified as “first in class,” that is, they have no analogues in the world, which serves as an indicator of a high vector of technological leadership;
— the application of modern Russian regenerative biomedicine for the treatment of knee joint arthrosis without surgery is expanding, clinical studies are being completed and the introduction of similar treatment technologies for hip joint arthrosis, osteonecrosis of the femoral head, fractures and Crohn’s disease has begun;
— innovative biomedical and cognitive technologies, technologies of preventive medicine and healthy longevity are being developed, aimed at increasing the duration of active and healthy life of our citizens.
In the first quarter, 32 names of medicinal products from the list of vital and essential medicines were registered, which were previously not produced in the territory of our country. In addition, domestically reproduced drugs for the treatment of spinal muscular atrophy, the price of which is 30% lower than the cost of original drugs, were registered in Russia.
An expanded Russian line of in-demand medical products up to 1,214 units, of which 52 are software with the use of artificial intelligence, including: tests for the diagnosis of oncological diseases and infections, diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, rehabilitation products.
