In Harbin (PRC), Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Chairman of the Government – plenipotentiary representative of the President of Russia in the Far Eastern Federal District, met with the leadership of Chinese companies in the fields of international trade, investment, energy, and high-tech production development.

The prospects for the implementation of joint Russian-Chinese projects within the framework of the new preferential regime – an international advanced development territory on the site of “Zapadnaya” in Primorsky Krai, “Rovnoe” in Amur Oblast, and on Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island in Khabarovsk Krai – were discussed.Among the projects are the creation of an industrial park, the construction of a production and logistics complex, the manufacture of local energy facilities in the territory of the Russian Far East, the production of drones for agriculture, applications in emergency rescue operations, ensuring safety in cities and other areas.

“In the territory of advanced development and the free port of Vladivostok with the participation of Chinese capital, 94 investment projects are already being implemented with a total investment volume of more than 1 trillion rubles. The government of Russia in the Far East has created a new preferential framework – an international advanced development territory. To a large extent, it was created with the participation of Chinese colleagues and is aimed at becoming a comfortable regime for Chinese companies. There are already three points where we plan to create an international advanced development territory. We will continue to build transport corridors connecting our countries.”Two international transport bridges have already appeared on the map: the Nizhne-Leninskoye–Tunzayan railway and the Blagoveshchensk–Heihe road bridge. And these are not the last transport corridors. We also intend to develop cooperation in the fields of energy and agriculture,” said Yuri Trutnev.

Let us remind you that on the eve of the prospects for the implementation of projects with the participation of Chinese capital within the framework of the international TOR and technology exchange, discussions took place at the plenary session of the sixth meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Chinese Commission on Cooperation and Development of the Far East of the Russian Federation and the Northeast of the People’s Republic of China, held under the leadership of Yuri Trutnev and the chairman of the Chinese side of the Commission – Deputy Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Zhang Guoqing.Issues of intensifying cooperation between Russian and Chinese entrepreneurs were also included in the agenda of the third meeting of the Business Council of the Russian Far East and the Northeast of the People’s Republic of China.
