Tashkent, May 18 /Xin Hua/ — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan on Monday once again stated the country’s firm adherence to the One China principle, emphasizing that the government of the People’s Republic of China is the sole legitimate government representing all of China. As noted by the department, the Uzbek side consistently supports the peaceful development of relations between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait and all efforts of the PRC government toward the reunification of the country.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov made appropriate statements at the meeting with the Ambassador of the PRC to Uzbekistan Yu Xiun.

During the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue close working contacts on current issues of the bilateral agenda. –0–
