Washington, May 17 /Xinhua/ — US President Donald Trump on Sunday warned that “time is running out” for Iran, once again threatening that the country will be left with nothing if its leadership fails to act quickly.
“Time is running out, and Iran should act faster, otherwise nothing will remain. Time plays a decisive role,” wrote the American leader on the social network Truth Social.
According to reports from the US intelligence community, earlier on Sunday, D. Trump held a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, regarding Iran, at the same time as the White House is considering options for resuming a full-scale military operation against Tehran.
It is expected that D. Trump will meet with his national security team in the White House on Tuesday to discuss military options, Axios reported on Sunday citing two American officials.
