Wenchang /Hainan/, May 17 /Xinhua/ — The “Changzheng-8” (Long March-8) carrier rocket was launched on Sunday from the spaceport in Hainan Province /South China/ with a new group of satellites.

The carrier rocket launched at 22:42 Beijing time from the Hainan commercial spaceport. The new satellite group, becoming the 9th member of the Chinese orbital constellation “Qianfan” /Spacesail/ for providing commercial internet services, successfully reached the designated orbit. –0–
