Gaza, May 16 /Sina/ — Seven Palestinians were killed and at least 50 people were injured Friday evening as a result of Israeli strikes on a residential building and a car in the city of Gaza. This was reported by Palestinian medical sources.
Israeli military said that the target of the strikes was Izz ad-Din al-Qassam, a senior commander of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades / the armed wing of HAMAS/.
The Israeli Kan TV host, citing a senior security official, reported that the strike was “successful” and I. al-Haddad likely died.
According to the joint statement of the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu and the Minister of Defense of Israel Katz, I. al-Haddad was one of the organizers of the Hamas attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023.
According to local sources and eyewitnesses, Israeli military aircraft fired at least three missiles at an apartment in the “Al-Mutaz” building in the western part of Gaza City, as a result of which the apartment caught fire. –0–
