Beijing, May 15 /Xin Hua/ — On Friday in Beijing, the presentation of the Chinese edition of the autobiography “I Am Nobody. Autobiography of a Legendary Coach” by the famous Russian rhythmic gymnastics coach Irina Viner took place.
Speaking as a representative of one of the co-organizers of the event, the chairman from the Chinese side of the Council on Healthy Lifestyle Issues of the China-Russia Committee on Friendship, Peace and Development Lian Yuishi noted that this event became a bright occasion, uniting the humanitarian and sports aspects of China-Russia cooperation. It ignites a guiding star for the youth of the two countries in pursuing the sporting dream. It also allows to feel the strength of China-Russia cooperation and inspires more people to achieve high results.
At the opening ceremony, Chinese and Russian artists jointly presented a bright program, including solo and choral singing, performances on national instruments, dances, as well as an impressive performance in artistic gymnastics featuring Olympic champions from Russia.

On the same day, the International Club League in Rhythmic Gymnastics “Alpha-Bank Golden Ribbon” started. The competition gathered more than 300 young athletes from nearly 20 countries, including China, Russia, Armenia, Belarus, representing over 50 clubs.
The simultaneous holding of a book presentation and international competitions is an innovative practice in the field of integration of sports and culture between China and Russia.
