On May 14, a solemn ceremony of awarding the Sergo Ordzhonikidze Prize took place at the State University of Management. The event was timed to coincide with the university’s birthday and became part of the festive program dedicated to the history, traditions, and modern development of SUM.

The award was established in 2024 as a new tradition of the university. It honors representatives of science, education, authorities, business, public organizations, university partners, teachers, staff, and students who make a significant contribution to the development of management education, science, the professional community, and public life.

Before the start of the ceremony, the guests, together with the rector of GUU Vladimir Stroevi, went on a tour of the university. The participants familiarized themselves with the university’s facilities, the history of GUU, and the modern infrastructure.

The ceremonial part was opened by Vladimir Stroev. He congratulated the university community on the birthday of the GUE and reminded that the name borne by the award is closely connected with the history of the university.

“The name Sergo Ordzhonikidze is directly connected to our university. For most of its existence, the university bore his name. Therefore, it is quite logical and right that we do not forget this name,” noted Vladimir Stroyev.

The rector also emphasized that the laureates of the award are people and organizations that have made a significant contribution to the development of the country, engineering and management education, science, and its popularization.

From the stage, a congratulation from the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov was read. In his address, he noted the special role of GUE in the formation of management education in Russia.

“GUU stood at the origins of management education in Russia, giving a start in life to many generations of highly qualified management specialists, in demand in all sectors of industry and the socio-economic sphere of the country,” the congratulation says.

The minister also wished the university team new ambitious projects, success in scientific, pedagogical and social activities, as well as initiatives that serve the benefit of Russian science and higher education.

In the nomination “For contribution to management knowledge”, the following were noted:

— Sergey Pospelov, responsible secretary of the Parliamentary Assembly of the CSTO;

— Evgeny Semchenko, Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science;

— Viktor Cherepov, Vice-President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs;

— Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development of the city of Moscow, Start in Moscow project, representative — Nikita Shnyryov;

— ANO “Development of Human Capital”, representative — Nikita Shnyryov, General Director;

— All-Russian student project “Your Move”, representative — Vadim Korol, deputy project manager;

— Production association “FORENERG” and the charitable foundation “Revival of the Motherland”, representative — Elizaveta Bondarenko, head of personnel;

— ANO “National Priorities”, representative — Roman Kamaev, Deputy General Director for Finance;

— PJSC “Sberbank”, representative — Irina Ponomaryova, Director of Direct Sales Department of the Moscow Bank;

— Project office for the development of youth entrepreneurship, All-Russian competition of final qualification works in the format “Startup as a diploma”, representative — Olga Serebryannikova, director of the project office;

— The “I’m in Business” program, representative — Ekaterina Kozlova, deputy head of the program in Moscow.

The special nomination “For Loyalty to the University” was established to encourage legal entities and representatives of organizations who support long-term partnerships with the State University. The laureate of the nomination was:

— Sergey Sarkisov, Vice President of the Novard Group of Companies.

In the nomination “Guarantee, Confidence, Success,” the university’s partners, with whom GUE actively interacts within the framework of cooperation agreements, joint projects, and events, were noted. The laureates were:

— JSC “Alfa-Bank”, representatives — Svetlana Olopkova, Director of Network Management in Moscow, and Sergey Sardaryan, Head of the Department for Work with Universities;

– Group of companies “Novard”, representative – Sergey Sarkisov;

— Movement First, representative — Irina Tomilova, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Scientific Projects;

— MООО “Russian Student Units”, representative — Tatyana Vlasova, head of the Moscow regional branch of RSO;

— Russian Society “Znanie”, representative — Albina Bikbulatova, director of the department for working with educational organizations;

— FGBU MP “Rospatriotcenter”, representative — Dmitry Stepiko, deputy director;

— Association of Volunteer Centers, non-profit organizations, and public development institutes “Dobro.rf”, representative — Natalia Geraskina, Deputy Head of the Department for Education and Interaction with Educational Organizations;

— Russian House of International Scientific and Technical Cooperation, representatives — Dmitry Protasovsky, General Director, and Svetlana Shevereva, Deputy Head of the Center for International Projects and Initiatives;

— All-Russian children’s center “Ocean”, representative — Andrey Bazilevskiy, advisor to the director.

In the category “Hope of the Institute,” the award was received by students who demonstrated themselves in educational, scientific, project-based, and social activities:

In the category “Recognition,” it was noted:

The laureates of the nomination “Young Leaders of Managerial Transformations” were:

— Mariya Vikulova, Institute of Economics and Finance;

— Anastasia Glushkova, Institute of Personnel Management, Social and Business Communications;

— Ekaterina Glysina, Institute of Sectoral Management;

— Nikita Smirnov, Institute of Public Administration and Law.

In the nomination “Support and Institution,” representatives of HSE institutes were recognized, who make a significant contribution to the development of the educational, organizational, and social life of the university:

— Svetlana Grishaeva, Institute of Personnel Management, Social and Business Communications;

In the special nomination “Parade of Talents” was noted:

— National team of the Institute of Information Systems.

The ceremony brought together representatives of the university community, partners, alumni, students, and guests of GUS. The evening concluded with a performance by a cover band, which became the musical finale of the festive program.
