Jerusalem, May 13 /Xinhua/ — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a secret visit to the United Arab Emirates and met with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during the war with Iran. This was reported on Wednesday by the office of the Prime Minister of the Jewish state.

“The visit led to a historic breakthrough in relations between Israel and the UAE,” the chancellery statement says. Other details are not disclosed.
