Financial support from the federal budget for the implementation of the new stage of the program for resettlement from emergency housing within the framework of the national project “Infrastructure for Life” has been approved for 22 regions since the beginning of the year. Thanks to this, about 32,200 people will receive new housing, reported Deputy Chairman of the Government Marat Khusnullin.

The “Emergency Housing Resettlement Program” helps improve living conditions for people and renew the appearance of settlements. The Territorial Development Fund, as the operator of this program, approved applications from eight more regions for the implementation of the new phase: Tomsk, Ulyanovsk, Murmansk, Leningrad regions, the Republic of Tyva, Sakha (Yakutia), Bashkortostan, and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Ugra. Thus, as of today, financial support from the federal budget has been approved for 22 regions, with a total volume of about 29.3 billion rubles.”In addition, considering the high significance of the work being carried out, the regions are adding funds from their own budgets. In total, in this subject, this will allow resettling about 32.2 thousand people from emergency housing with an area of more than 550 thousand square meters,” said Marat Khusnullin.

The Deputy Prime Minister clarified that the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — Yugra plans to provide new housing to 6.7 thousand citizens and relocate emergency housing with an area of 120.9 thousand square meters. For these purposes, 1.8 billion rubles have been approved.

In the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), it is planned to improve the housing conditions of 6.2 thousand people by eliminating emergency housing stock with an area of 116.4 thousand square meters. The amount of approved federal support is 12.5 billion rubles.

For the relocation of 810 residents of the Republic of Bashkortostan from uninhabitable houses with a total area of 13.2 thousand sq. m, funding in the amount of about 900 million rubles has been approved.

In the Tomsk region, new housing will be received by another 691 people, and 8.5 thousand square meters of uninhabitable housing stock will be resettled. 613.4 million rubles from the federal budget will be allocated for these purposes.

Another 557 people are planned to be relocated from emergency housing with a total area of 9.7 thousand square meters in the Leningrad region. The volume of federal support will amount to 538.2 million rubles.

In the Ulyanovsk region, the housing conditions of 358 more people will be improved thanks to the relocation of emergency housing with an area of 6.3 thousand square meters. For this, the FRT approved financial support in the amount of 219.4 million rubles.

In the Murmansk region, 322 people will move out of emergency housing with an area of 5.5 thousand square meters. The amount of approved financing was 279.4 million rubles.

And finally, in the Republic of Tuva, 211 people will be relocated from uninhabitable houses with a total area of 2.9 thousand square meters, thanks to financial support amounting to 378.1 million rubles.

“Work on relocating people from emergency housing began in Russia in 2008 by order of the President. Since 2019, the program has been part of a national project – during this time, more than 16 million square meters of uninhabitable housing have been relocated in the country, affecting more than 1 million people.
