“RN-Yuganskneftegaz”, the largest producing asset of “Rosneft”, is successfully implementing a project for the introduction of innovations in drilling and hydraulic fracturing (HF) during the development of low-permeability reservoirs. In the first quarter of 2026, a stable oil flow rate of 354 tons per day was obtained from a high-tech horizontal well at the Priobskoye field. This is one of the best indicators in the industry.
A total of 13 high-tech wells have been drilled within the framework of the pilot project, in which Rosneft specialists applied a number of unique advanced technologies and engineering solutions. Among them is an absolute record for the domestic oil industry – a 30-stage cluster hydraulic fracture with proppant injection into the formation of 9 thousand tons, a high-rate fracturing fluid (from 60 to 120 stages), and the creation of a multi-fracture system to ensure high formation conductivity and well productivity.
As a result of the implementation of technologies, production from a new well compared to standard horizontal wells has increased fivefold, up to 60 thousand tons per year from a single well. This is a record indicator for new wells of the Priobskoye field over the past 10 years.
All unique hydraulic fracturing operations are simulated in the corporate software products “RN-GRID”, “RN-SIGMA”, “RN-KIM”, “RN-HORIZONT+” and are performed in wells with high accuracy of oil-bearing zones localization.
“RN-Yuganskneftegaz” together with corporate oilfield service and scientific enterprises continues to introduce new technologies to improve the efficiency of developing complex low-permeability reservoir reserves.
