Beijing, May 12 /Xinhua/ — On Monday, the 9th competition in the Russian language “Spring of the Russian Language in Harbin” was completed in the city of Harbin (administrative center of Heilongjiang Province, Northeast China) among Chinese and Russian students and schoolchildren.
According to information published on the news site “Chjungo Sinwenvan,” students and schoolchildren from China and Russia competed in four main categories: declamation, singing, dramatic art, and dance.
The competition was held in both online and offline formats. The event included both team and individual competitions, with 21 Chinese and Russian universities participating in the offline format and 6 universities in the online format.
In addition, individual awards were claimed by more than 300 participants from over 30 countries worldwide.
As a result, in the declamation contest, Heilongjiang University from China and Blagoveshchensk State Pedagogical University (BSPU) from Russia won the first places in different nominations. BSPU also became the winner in a number of nominations in the contest for songs, drama, and dance.
The competition lasted three days. It was jointly organized by the Department of Education of Heilongjiang Province and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Amur Region.
