At the beginning of 2019, 35-year-old Lanzi Drolma became one of the “loving mothers” in the orphanage of the Sitsansky autonomous district. Together with other “mothers,” she spends around the clock with the wards, resting a total of 40 days a year. Her weekdays are filled with various situations: soiled children’s clothes, schoolchildren’s pranks that cause her to be called to teachers, teenage rebellion, and a craving for games… These everyday little things and troubles are what the “loving mothers” in the orphanage face daily.
For almost eight years of work, Lanci Drolma has gone from initial confusion and anxiety to the current feeling of tenderness and happiness with all her heart. The time spent in the company of children and caring for them has allowed her to sincerely feel the warmth and touching moments that the children give her.
