Havana, May 8 /Xin Hua/ — Cuba on Friday denied the statement of U.S. Secretary of State Mark Rubio that Washington offered humanitarian aid worth 100 million dollars to the island nation.

Cuba’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez, wrote on the social network X that M. Rubio made a false statement to justify actions against Havana.

The Secretary told journalists on Friday that the United States has provided Cuba with humanitarian aid amounting to 6 million dollars through the Catholic charitable organization “Caritas” and offered the Cuban government an additional 100 million dollars, which it refused.

“Where did they go? What was he used for?” wrote B. Rodrigez, refuting the words of M. Rubio. It is well known that the economic war by the USA against Cuba amounts to billions of dollars, he added. –0–
