Yerevan, May 7 /Xinhua/ — Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will not travel to Moscow this year for events dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Soviet people’s Victory in the Great Patriotic War, and will not be present at the Victory Parade. The head of the Armenian government announced this on Thursday at a briefing in Yerevan.
“In April, during my visit to Russia, I informed the President of Russia that I would not be able to participate in the May 9 events in connection with the election campaign,” explained N. Pashinyan.
The pre-election campaign before the parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7 will begin in Armenia on May 8. The ruling party “Civil Contract” has already announced holding pre-election meetings on May 8 and 9 in the Syunik region of the country. N. Pashinyan will take part in them. –0–
