Representatives of the Engineering and Construction Institute of SPbPU became participants of the annual General Assembly of members of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences (RAACS).
The welcoming address to the participants was delivered by the president of the RAASN, academician Dmitry Shvidkovsky. The key topic of the event was housing construction in Russia. Among the honorary guests were: Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation Nikita Stasishin, Secretary of the Expert Council on Construction, Industry of Building Materials, and Issues of Shared Construction at the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services Svetlana Bachurina, and the chief scientific secretary of the Russian Academy of Arts Oleg Koshkin.
During the meeting, a solemn ceremony of presenting certificates and awards was held.
According to the results of the competition for the best scientific and creative works in the field of urban planning for 2025, the gold medal of RAAZN was awarded to the project for the layout of the embankment territory in the resort town of Gelendzhik, developed by specialists of LLC “NII PG” with the participation of the Higher School of Design and Architecture of ISI SPbPU. The project manager is Pavel Spirin, head of the basic department “Urban Planning” and director of “NII PG”.
The RASN diploma was awarded to the team of authors of the monograph “Leningrad Region — Territory of Prospective Development”: Margarita Perykova, Director of VShDIA ISI; Pavel Spirin, Director of “NII PG”; Sergey Lutchenko, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Urban Planning Policy of the Leningrad Region — Chief Architect of the Leningrad Region; Ekaterina Voznyak, Professor of VShDIA ISI; Dmitry Boytsov, Head of the Architectural and Construction Department of the Research and Design and Survey Institute “Lenmetrogiprotrans”; Ilya Filimonov, Chief Architect of the project of the company “INTERKOLUMNIUM”; and GeneralDirector of the architectural group “ARKA” Kirill Kozlov.
The academy diploma was also awarded with the textbook “Fundamentals of Scientific Research in Architecture and Urban Planning” authored by Margarita Perkova, associate professors of VSHDIA ISI Elena Ladik and Maria Drebezgova.
Associate Professor of VSHDIA ISI Aleksandr Zhuk was awarded the advisor certificate of RAAAS from SZFO in the “Architecture” department. The advisor status is assigned as a recognition of merits in the fields of practice, educational activities, or scientific research.
The general meeting of RAASN included a series of round tables. One of the round table sections “Urban Development as the Basis for the Development of Housing Construction in Russia. Experience of Regions” was jointly moderated by Yuri Rysyin, Chairman of the Southern Territorial Branch of RAASN, and Pavel Spirin. Margarita Peryokova gave a report titled “Identifying the Identity of the Territory of Settlements.”
The RAA SN general meeting was timed to coincide with an exhibition dedicated to housing construction. Margarita Perkova, Pavel Spirin, Alexander Zhuk, and Professor Sergey Mityagin from VSHDIA ISI took part in its opening.
