On the eve of the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, “KAMAZ” has prepared a number of events.

Today, under the care of the company, 57 WWII veterans are being looked after. Among them are 43 home front workers, as well as two blockade survivors of Leningrad and 12 minor prisoners of concentration camps, equated with participants of the Great Patriotic War. According to the “Care” program approved by the company, in May, the Charity and Social Assistance Fund of PJSC “KAMAZ” will pay them a one-time material assistance. Also, in April, the Fund organized a visit for WWII veterans and non-working pensioners (former employees of PJSC “KAMAZ”) to the “Naberezhnye Chelny” sanatorium, with the vouchers provided free of charge. As in previous years, on the holiday, veterans are presented with food packages and valuable gifts.

In addition, as is traditional on these days, meetings with veterans are organized in the company. On April 22, a patriotic concert “In the name of life – our whole life!” was held in the Organ Hall of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny. With words of gratitude for the displayed courage and the Great Victory, representatives of the management and trade union committee of “KAMAZ”, as well as the city administration, addressed the attendees. A concert program was also prepared with the participation of artists from the city, the republic, and the KAMAZ collective.

In turn, the Veterans Council of PJSC “KAMAZ” organized a meeting on the topic “Defenders of the Fatherland through the eyes of contemporaries.” A participant in the special military operation became a guest of the event. The trade union committee of the automotive giant held a competition of children’s drawings and crafts about the war. Excursions to the Visit Center “KAMAZ” were also organized.

On Victory Day, May 9, there will be a laying of flowers at the Eternal Flame. The company leaders will honor the fallen with a minute of silence.
