Deputy Chairman of the Government Tatyana Golikova held another meeting of the project committee on the national project “Family.” Representatives of the Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Education, and others took part in the meeting. The agenda included the discussion of the implementation of the national project based on the results of the first quarter of 2026.

As Tatyana Golikova noted, the national project “Family” will start on January 1, 2025, following the assignment of the head of state and is aimed at supporting families with children, strengthening family values, supporting birth rates, developing social infrastructure, improving the quality and accessibility of medical care. The national project includes five federal projects: “Family Support,” “Large Family,” “Motherhood and Childhood Health,” “Older Generation,” and “Family Values and Cultural Infrastructure.”

Within the framework of the implementation of the national project in the first quarter of 2026, extensive work was carried out.

So, as part of the federal project “Family Support,” since the beginning of the year, the maternal capital funds have already been allocated to over 716 thousand families by April 1. Thanks to the implementation of the national project, since January 2025, housing conditions under the family mortgage have improved for almost 652 thousand families, and since the beginning of this year — more than 106 thousand families.

Starting from 2025, major renovations will be carried out for 270 kindergartens, of which 2 kindergartens are planned in the first quarter.

To support young families and successfully combine obtaining a profession with raising children, 324 mother and child rooms have been created.

Within the framework of the federal project “Large Family,” starting from 2025 in 41 regions where the birth rate level according to the results of 2023 is below the national average, regional demographic programs are being implemented with federal financial support. As of April 1, nearly 67 thousand families have been served by the measures of the regional program.

A social contract has already been concluded since the beginning of the year with about 51 thousand citizens.

Almost 155 thousand large families received an additional payment of 450 thousand rubles to repay their mortgage loan.

In the implementation of the federal project “Older Generation,” the system of long-term care has covered 184 thousand elderly citizens and disabled persons.

Activities aimed at supporting the social activity of elderly people and providing opportunities for their self-realization are actively being implemented. In the communication centers for senior citizens, created on the basis of the Social Fund, more than 32.8 thousand events were held according to the results of the first quarter. Active longevity programs have been deployed in all regions of the country.

Within the framework of the federal project “Essence of Parenthood and Childhood,” as of April 1, 13 women’s modular consultations of a modular type have been put into operation in 7 regions. As of January 1, 2025, a total of 98,890 full cycles of IVF have been conducted.

Within the framework of the project “Family Values and Cultural Infrastructure,” in the first quarter of this year, a children’s art school was reconstructed and put into operation in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, and a house of culture was renovated in the Khabarovsk Krai. Using the “Pushkin Card,” more than 7.4 million tickets were purchased over three months.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Tatyana Golikova instructed not to slow down the pace of the national project implementation.
