Moscow, May 5 /Sinhua/ — The Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media /MinCifry/ of the Russian Federation coordinates with law enforcement agencies and special services the possibility of promptly opening a “white list” of sites that will be accessible during mobile internet restrictions in Moscow. This was reported by the press service of the department.
“The Ministry of Digital Development coordinates with law enforcement agencies and special services the possibility of promptly opening a white list of websites in Moscow for access to socially significant internet resources during the period of mobile internet disconnection for security reasons,” the ministry indicated.
“We will inform about the opening of such access immediately after receiving the necessary permissions,” added the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation.
“Whitelist” is a list of websites and applications that work even during temporary restrictions on mobile internet access for security reasons. It includes a number of socially significant platforms such as social networks, marketplaces, government agency sites, banks, media, streaming services, telecom operators, and sites for booking trips and purchasing airline tickets. The “whitelist” was compiled by the Ministry of Digital Development in September 2025 and is constantly expanding.
