Moscow, 2026 — Passengers of the Moscow Central Diameters (MCD) have made more than 1.7 billion trips since the launch of the project. This figure reflects the high level of demand for the diameters and their significant role in the transport system of the capital and the Moscow region.

Today, the MCD is a modern and actively developing ground metro network that provides fast and convenient trips for millions of passengers. The infrastructure of the diameters includes 56 Moscow city stations (89 in total), as well as more than 100 transfers between the diameters, the Moscow Central Circle (MCC), the metro, and ground transport.

Since the launch on the MCD line, the following has been recorded:

— more than 505 million trips on D1;

— more than 660 million trips on D2;

— more than 355 million trips on D3;

— more than 225 million trips on D4.

Passengers are served by 398 modern trains running on all diameters.

“Moscow central diameters have become an integral part of the transport system of the capital and the region. Since the moment of launch, passenger flow has increased 1.8 times and now reaches 1.6 million trips per day. And since the beginning of 2026, more than 100 million trips have been made on all diameters. Such demand is ensured by the residents of the city and the nearest Moscow region who choose the MCD for daily travel. We will continue to develop the diameters further, as instructed by the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin,” noted the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for transport and industry Maksim Liksutov.

The development of the Moscow Central Diameters (MCD) continues: the network of routes is expanding, infrastructure is improving, and travel comfort is increasing, making the diameters one of the key elements of the transport framework of the Moscow region.
