Moscow, May 4 /Siny UA/ — Rescuers discovered the bodies of all eight people who were trapped under the debris at the Kadykchansky coal mine in the Russian Magadan region. This was reported on the “Maks” platform by the regional governor Sergey Nosov.

“Mountain rescuers discovered the bodies of four more people who died in the collapse at the Kadykchansky coal mine. In total, the collapse at the quarry claimed the lives of eight people. The rescue operation continued nonstop for four days, clearing more than 15,500 cubic meters of rock, until the very end clinging to the hope of the best outcome,” he wrote.

According to preliminary information, on April 30, a landslide occurred at the Kadykchansky coal mine in the Susumansky urban district of the Magadan region.

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case for violation of safety rules.
