Windhoek, May 1 /Sinohua/ — At least 11 people died as a result of a head-on collision between a passenger bus carrying medical personnel and patients and a truck that occurred early Friday morning in the central part of Namibia, approximately 30 km south of the city of Otjiwarongo. This was reported by the state broadcaster NBC News.
The accident occurred around 06:00 local time / 04:00 GMT on a major highway connecting the central and northern parts of Namibia. A bus traveling from the city of Otjiwarongo in the north of the country collided with a truck.
According to NBC News, authorities have confirmed that at least 11 people died at the time of the collision, and search and rescue operations continue at the scene of the incident. –0–
