Tehran, April 30 /Xinhua/ — The supreme leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei, stated on Thursday that the “bright future” of the Persian Gulf is a future without the presence of the USA, which will serve the progress, well-being, and prosperity of the countries of the region.

M. Khamenei made this statement in a message on the occasion of the National Persian Gulf Day observed in Iran. He called this waterway an “unprecedented divine blessing” for Iran and all Muslim states of the region.

The regional leader drew attention to the fact that Iran shares a common fate with its neighbors in the Persian and Oman gulfs, noting that there is no place in the region for foreigners “greedily committing villainy,” except “at the bottom of its waters.”

As M. Khamenei pointed out, the victory over the United States in the regional waters, achieved through the measures and policies of the resistance front, as well as the strategy of a “strong” Iran, will mark the beginning of a new order in the region and worldwide.

He emphasized that Iran, whose coastline along the Persian Gulf is the longest, has made the greatest sacrifices throughout its entire history to ensure the independence of this water area and to resist foreign forces and aggressors.

Reminding that since the beginning of the “largest military campaign and aggression” by world troublemakers in the region, two months have passed, M. Khamenei noted that in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz a new chapter is “beginning to form” after the “shameful” failure of the US in implementing the plan against Iran and the entire region.
