Guiyang, April 30 /Xinhua/ — The 12th China International Big Data Industry Expo will be held in August in the city of Guiyang, the administrative center of Guizhou Province /Southwest China/, local authorities announced on Thursday.
Big Data Industry Expo is the world’s first exhibition dedicated to the topic of big data. Since its establishment in 2015, this event has become a platform for demonstrating the latest trends in the development of the global digital economy, as well as a key platform for exchanging achievements in the industry.
The organizers of the 2026 exhibition are the State Administration of Data of China and the government of Guizhou Province. The exhibition will include 6 sections, with professional exhibition booths arranged on an area of 60 thousand square meters.
Residents of the city of Guiyan are making every effort to turn their city into a base for providing state-level computing power and an innovation center for the digital economy of western China, said Guiyan’s Vice Mayor Fu Tao.
As of today, this city has 27 large and super-large computing centers, with a combined computing power exceeding 165 exaflops. More than 98% of the total volume is dedicated to intellectual computing, and the localization level reaches 90%. Thanks to this, the city of Guiyang has become one of the regions with the richest and most powerful localized computing resources in China, added Fu Tao. -0-
