At the foot of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, a new universal service platform “GO BEIJING” was officially launched, covering all spheres of life: food, accommodation, transportation, tourism, shopping, entertainment, and government services. The platform integrates 39 useful services, including taxi ordering, ticket purchases, hotel reservations, and eSIM card procurement. Registration is accomplished with a single tap on a mobile phone, and switching between 16 languages is also supported. Now foreign visitors coming to Beijing will no longer worry about such basic issues as language, payment, and document processing.
The platform has introduced the “travel wallet” function for the first time in the country: users do not need to link a bank card from China; they can spend money immediately after receiving an international transfer. The English version of the “Jing Tong” application has also been optimized: it now includes more than 30 new services, including appointment booking with doctors and maps in English. Tourists can upload a photo of their passport, and the application will automatically recognize the information.
