Thanks to high-quality roads, favorable conditions are created for the lives of people and the development of the economy of the reunited regions. Work to bring them to regulatory standards is carried out according to programs that allow for clear tracking of the pace and implementation and for operational adjustments so that residents receive a tangible result as quickly as possible. For example, under the “Avtodor” state corporation program, about 200 km of new asphalt concrete layer was laid this year in the historic region. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
“Since 2022, more than 7.7 thousand km of roads in Donbass and Novorossiya have been brought to regulatory condition. The plan for this year is to complete about 2 thousand km of roads that connect settlements within the reunited regions, including over 835 km by the forces of ‘Avtodor’. For example, in the DPR, repairs are underway on the street-road network of Mariupol, while in the LPR, work is being carried out on sections of two regional roads with a total length of 64 km. Additionally, 33 km of the federal highway Odessa – Melitopol – Novoazovsk continues to be brought to regulatory condition,” said Marat Khusnullin.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that, overall, specialists from “Avtodor” have laid 25% of the planned volume of the asphalt concrete layer as of today.
“Despite the difficult conditions, we are progressing on schedule. This year, the main front of work for us is focused on the regional and municipal road network. More than 930 road workers are involved in the work, including local specialists as well as those who came to restore historical regions. In addition, 590 units of equipment have been mobilized,” said Vyacheslav Petushenko, Chairman of the Board of the state company ‘Avtodor’.
