Museum of the World Ocean in Kaliningrad

The key idea of the project was the image of an ocean wave and the appearance of our planet, since water covers 71% of the Earth’s surface. The building represents a glass sphere 42 meters tall, becoming the architectural dominant of the city, with a complex glass-metal structure hanging over the embankment, symbolizing a wave.

Museum aquarium

Inside the building is a large block of aquariums, and the total area of the premises reaches 10 thousand square meters. The main hall is conceived as a multicolored space, where large-scale exhibits are placed. The museum features aquariums with a volume of more than 1100 cubic meters, including a tunnel with sharks. A system of projectors provides a mysterious blue-cyan glow of the building at night.
