On April 28, a meeting of the Academic Council of the State University of Management took place. The agenda included issues of personnel policy, preparation for the admissions campaign, results of educational activities, and the development of individual areas of the university’s work.

The meeting began with the consideration of personnel issues. Council members discussed the competitive selection for filling vacant positions of teaching staff and supported the presented candidacies following the results of the consideration at the department and at the institute.

The separate issue was the awarding of an academic title. The candidature for the conferment of the title of Associate Professor in the specialty “Management” was submitted for consideration.

Vadim Dikiy, Director of the Department of Digital Development and Admissions, spoke about the preparation for the admission campaign for the 2026/2027 academic year.

“This year, the university is implementing more than 50 bachelor’s degree programs and over 40 master’s degree programs. Admission covers a wide range of training areas,” he noted.

Acting Director of the Institute of Information Systems Olga Pisareva presented the results of the institute’s work for 2025 and plans for 2026.

“The institute continues to develop educational programs in the field of applied informatics and business informatics, as well as strengthening scientific and publication activity,” she reported.

The educational process was discussed separately. Kristina Firsova, head of the electronic dean’s office, presented the results of the winter session. She also spoke about the preparation for the summer session.

“About 6,500 students are preparing for the summer session. The spring semester is traditionally the most intense, as it simultaneously includes examination session and practical training,” emphasized Kristina Firsova.

Within the framework of the “Miscellaneous” block, the Academic Council approved additional general education programs of the Educational Center “Az”, including preparatory courses for entrance examinations.

In addition, additional professional education programs were approved, including in the fields of office management and prompt engineering.

Separate attention was paid to financial issues. The Academic Council approved the tuition fee for first-year students in the 2026/2027 academic year, and also considered the issue of increasing the tuition fee taking into account the inflation rate.

Decisions were also made to provide discounts on education to certain categories of students.

At the meeting, the provision on the rating performance evaluation system for scientific and pedagogical workers, aimed at improving the efficiency of teachers’ work, was considered and supported.

In addition, individual curricula have been approved for a number of students and new educational programs, including professional training programs for vehicle drivers.

The academic council showed that the university consistently works simultaneously in several directions: updating educational programs, strengthening requirements for the quality of training, and simultaneously building a more flexible student support system. As a result of the meeting, all agenda items were considered and appropriate decisions were made.
