Muscovites will celebrate the Spring and Labor Holiday from May 1 to May 3, and the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945 from May 9 to May 11. During these periods, the eco-center “Yauza” will be closed to visitors, and thematic programs will be held at the eco-center of the regional operator JSC “Ecoprom” and the Moscow City Economy Museum.

Events at the Museum of Urban Economy of Moscow
From May 1 to May 3, a series of master classes “Spring in the City” will be held at the Moscow City Economy Museum at VDNH (pavilion No. 5). Every day from 3:00 PM, young visitors will create spring crafts — bright floral compositions and bird figurines.
On May 3 at 13:00, a lecture on zoo volunteering will start here within the cycle “School of Responsible Ownership.” Guests will be told how to help animals from shelters and where to start for those who are just considering volunteering.
On May 9 and 10, the museum has prepared a special program dedicated to Victory Day. On May 9, visitors will be invited to a lecture titled “The 40th Anniversary. On May 9 and 10, from 14:00, guests will be told about the symbolism and history of the Eternal Flame, and at 15:00 there will be a master class “Victory Postcard.”
Program in the eco-center

On May 2, there will be a master class on painting tote bags. Guests will learn how to work with acrylic paints and create their own eco-friendly accessory, which they can take with them. It starts at 13:00. Registration on the eco-center’s page in social networks is required to participate.
On May 8 at 13:00 there will be a master class on making jewelry from jeans. Guests will be able to turn old clothes into decorative elements, such as brooches or bracelets. Registration is also required to participate.
In addition, every Wednesday and Saturday at 14:00, without prior registration, a master class “Sorting Secrets” takes place. Specialists demonstrate how to properly separate waste, save space, and prepare recyclable materials for processing.
On Sundays from 17:00, visitors are awaited by the interactive game “Time to Recycle,” dedicated to the cycle of plastic recycling and its transformation into new products.
The eco-center “Yauza” (Yurlovskiy drive, property 10/4) will be closed for visits during the May holidays. On other days, the exhibition operates as usual and hosts various events: lectures, master classes, and interactive activities dedicated to an ecological lifestyle, ecological professions of the present and future, as well as careful attitude towards the environment.
