This week marked the conclusion of the basketball championship in memory of Sergey Korsakov, a former employee of the spare parts and components factory, who died while performing combat missions in the special military operation zone. The competitions took place in the gymnasium of the Technical College named after V.D. Potashov within the framework of the Spartakiad of PJSC “KAMAZ” 2026.
In the championship organized by the trade union organization, 12 teams representing various divisions of the auto giant took part. The competitions were timed to coincide with the 55th anniversary of the PAO “KAMAZ” trade union organization, the 400th anniversary of Naberezhnye Chelny, the 35th anniversary of the ASM RF trade union, and Victory Day.
In the match for third place, the teams of the blacksmith and foundry plants met. In a fierce battle, luck was on the side of the foundry plant, which closed the trio of leaders. In the final, the teams of LLC “CHELNYVODOKANAL” and the bridge plant met. As a result, representatives of “CHELNYVODOKANAL” took first place. Second place went to the opponents of this team — the bridge plant.
Throughout all the matches, the participants were actively supported by the fans: team leaders and activists, factory and department management, as well as relatives and colleagues of the athletes. This support created a truly warm and inspiring atmosphere.
The award ceremony was conducted by Ildar Shamilov, chairman of the trade union organization “KAMAZ.” Winners were presented with cups, medals, and diplomas.
