Beijing, April 2 /Xinhua/ — The Ministry of Commerce of the PRC on Thursday called for further utilization of the mechanism of China-US economic and trade consultations and the strengthening of dialogue and communication in order to promote the healthy, stable, and sustainable development of bilateral economic and trade relations.
Both sides must implement the important consensus reached by the heads of the two states, as well as the results of previous economic and trade consultations, said the official representative of the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC, He Yadong, at a regular press briefing in response to a question about Sino-American trade and economic relations.
She said that, guided by the important consensus reached by the heads of the two states, China and the United States have held six rounds of economic and trade consultations since last year, achieving a number of results that have brought even greater stability and certainty to bilateral economic and trade relations, as well as to the global economy.
