Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin held a working meeting with the Head of the Republic of Khakassia Valentin Konovalov, at which issues of the socio-economic development of the region and the implementation of the national project “Infrastructure for Life” were discussed.
The Republic of Khakassia is conducting comprehensive work on regional development, with good results despite existing difficulties. Socially significant infrastructure projects aimed at improving the quality of life for people are being implemented. One of the key tasks is the development of support settlements. In particular, 13 cities and towns in Khakassia, where more than 70% of the region’s population lives, have been included. These are growth points for the entire entity. To recall, under the national project “Infrastructure for Life,” the quality of the living environment there should increase by 30% by 2030, which will also contribute to the development of adjacent territories.”The task is ambitious, so it is necessary to increase the pace of work to accomplish it,” said Marat Khusnullin.
One of the in-demand mechanisms for urban development renewal is the integrated development of territories. In Khakassia, four territories with a total area of 24.5 hectares have been identified under the Special Economic Zone (SEZ), where the implementation of two projects has begun.
At the meeting, issues of road activities were also discussed. The length of the main network in the region is 592 km, of which 85.54% is in normal condition. Among other things, the issue of improving traffic on the congested section of the R-257 “Yenisei” road in the Republic of Khakassia was considered.
“Infrastructure development is one of the strategic priorities of the Government of Khakassia. The participation of the republic in the national project ‘Infrastructure for Life’ serves as a huge stimulus for the development of our roads, the creation of modern communication and life-support networks,” noted Valentin Konovalov.
Separately, at the meeting, aspects of more effective use of state property and assistance to citizens affected by unscrupulous developers were touched upon.
